Now We Are Six

A lovely collection of poems for children mostly about Christopher Robin and a whole bunch of fantastical characters. Winnie-the-pooh is only there for a couple of them, but it was still lovely.

I simply love A.A. Milne’s books, and J often enjoy them as an adult, but I can tell how children would absolutely LOVE these poems. My edition includes the original illustrations of E. H. Shepard, which are absolutely wonderful.
I think I liked the longer ones as they had more stories to tell.

My favorites include:

  • Solitude
  • Binker
  • The Knight Whose Armour didn’t Squeak
  • Us Two
  • Forgiven
  • The Good Little Girl
  • Explained
  • Waiting at the Window
