This is my second time reading “Animal Farm” by George Orwell. The novel is a brilliant political allegory that tells the story of a group of farm animals who rebel against their human owner Mr.Jones and create a society based on the principles of equality and cooperation. As the story progresses, the pigs, who are the most intelligent animals on the farm, gradually take control and establish a totalitarian regime that oppresses the other animals.

One of the great things about “Animal Farm” is Orwell’s ability to capture the essence of the Soviet Union under Stalin, and totalitarian regimes in general, in a way that is accessible to a wide audience. Orwell’s use of animals as the main characters allows him to satirize the human tendency to exploit power for personal gain, while also highlighting the dangers of blindly following charismatic leaders.

Orwell’s short and simple writing style helps to convey the story’s political message in a very straightforward and effective way. Orwell’s use of allegory, symbolism, and irony is masterful, with each element adding depth and complexity to the story which is only around 100 pages!

Although originally written to reflect the Soviet Union, Animal Farm remains highly relevant today, with its major and more general themes of political oppression, propaganda, and the dangers of unchecked power which relates to many different regimes around the world.

Overall, a timeless classic that continues to be a powerful and thought-provoking work of political satire.
